### What counts as a token?

Tokens are the units of text processed when adding memories. Roughly, 1 token ≈ 4 characters of English text. When you store a memory, we count the tokens used to process and index it.

### What counts as a search query?

Each API call to search or retrieve memories counts as one search query. Batch operations count as one query per item in the batch.

### Can I switch plans at any time?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and you’ll be charged a prorated amount. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

### What happens if I exceed my plan limits?

On Pro and Scale plans, overages are billed at $0.01 per 1,000 tokens and $0.10 per 1,000 queries. On the Free plan, requests are rate-limited once you hit the cap.

### Is there a commitment or contract?

No. All plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. Enterprise plans can include annual contracts with volume discounts.

### What plugins are included with Pro?

Pro includes all first-party plugins: Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, and OpenClaw. The Codex plugin is free on all plans. These let you connect Supermemory directly to your development tools.
